The Share Stories Of Change Manifesto : let’s make solutions travel
[/vc_column]

A year ago, Sparknews launched the Manifesto Share Stories Of Change. At the heart of this Manifesto lies a simple belief: each and every one of us can take one’s pen and in his way make local solutions tackling global problems travel . The resulting movement has already brought together thousands of signatures from citizens, policymakers, NGOs, media and artists who come together to build a better world, starting by changing the way it is told on June 16th for Impact Journalism Day

A mobilization beyond Impact Journalism Day

Endorsers of the Manifesto pledge to use one of the most powerful instruments within their reach: their own voice. This is about publicizing together initiatives that contribute to making our neighborhoods more resilient and greener, and that reinvente our ways of moving, managing, working, consuming, investing our money, etc.

By joining the movement, endorsers receive on Impact Journalism Day 60 innovative solutions published by more than 50 international media across the world. The aim is to share these engaging articles, which are about projects enabling the Sustainable Development Goals to happen. A true resonance chamber of inspiring stories and concrete projects for a better world, June 16th is the occasion for the Manifesto’s movement to make the projects known to the greatest number and make them grow.

A movement reaching beyond all frontiers

Committed personalities support the Share Stories of Change movement. Some are representatives of the NGO community, such as Jennifer Morgan, executive co-director of GreenPeace International, and Stavros N. Yiannouka, executive director of WISE (World Innovation Summit for Education). The Nobel Peace Prize, inventor of microcredit and economist Pr. Muhammad Yunus is also present. Others use their art every day to change the way we talk about the world as the director of the movie HUMAN Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the musicians Amadou and Mariam or the Iranian photographer Reza. Policy-makers also join the movement, including Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, Nicolas Hulot, the French minister of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition or Laurence Tubiana, who gained international acclaim during the negotiation of the Paris Agreements. Scientists and intellectuals are also committing themselves as the explorer Bertrand Piccard, the theorist of the “frugal innovation” Navi Radjou or the influencer Arianna Huffington …

For this 6th edition of Impact Journalism Day, we are proud to announce the support of UN Secretary General António Gutteres, farmer and environmentalist writer Pierre Rabhi, Director of the Institute of the Earth for Columbia University Jeffrey Sachs, activist for the end of female genital mutilation and UN-Women Ambassador Jaha Mapenzi Dukureh, President of ADEME (the French Agency for the Environment and Energy Management) Arnaud Leroy, artist Naziha Mestaoui and author, director, poet and environmental activist Cyril Dion.

So join us to celebrate together June 16th, and receive 60 social and environmental impact projects around the world during Impact Journalism Day!
